Hammurabi's Code

Today we took tedious notes from the PowerPoint. Also Mr. Schick found my near death experience when I was snowboarding humorous? I'll let it go. But anyway we looked at the Hammurabi Code. The three laws that caught my attention were.
  1. If he has borne false witness in a civil law case, he shall pay the damages in that suit.
Because it is sorta like modern day suing.

     2. If a man has accused another of laying a nertu [death spell?] upon him, but has not proved it, he shall be put to death.

Because they'll kill someone over a accused spell casting? lol

    3.  If she has not borne children, her mistress shall sell her.

Because the husband can just sell his wife because she cant have children, though it could possibly be the males fault.
